Dear
Colleague,
On
behalf of Frank J. Fabozzi/Information Management Network, I am
delighted to invite you to attend the Annual Public Fund Boards
Summit. We are particularly excited about this year’s program
because it commemorates the Summit’s Fifth Anniversary. We are
proud to be celebrating five successful years of bringing together
over 350 board members, investment staff, consultants and money
managers annually to discuss critical issues impacting public
pension systems.
With
the guidance of our Public Fund Advisory Council we have created
an educational, relevant, and though-provoking program that addresses
your day-day as well long term concerns as a trustee or pension
staff member. We urge you to take a few minutes to review
this brochure.
The Fifth Anniversary Symposium features an outstanding speaker
faculty of over 50 public fund plan sponsors and investment consultants.
This distinguished group representing state, city, county, teachers,
firemen and police funds will share their insights on the future
of pension fund management in the public sector.
The
program will begin on Sunday with a pre-conference workshop on
Plan Design in the 21st Century. Our workshop presenters
will deliver practical real-life answers to your many questions
about defined contribution, defined benefit, hybrid and DROP plans.
To kick-off Monday morning our keynote presenter, the legendary
football coach Lou Holtz, will deliver a motivational and inspiring
address on setting business and personal goals and working to
achieve them.
The
Summit will also feature a wide array of general sessions that
will enable you to benefit from the collective expertise of the
group. These sessions will focus on investment policies,
fiduciary concerns, board issues, technology, communications and
working with managers and consultants. Concurrent sessions, which
will allow you to tailor a program that meets your particular
educational needs, will delve into the nuances of various investment
vehicles. And throughout the event we have included plenty of
networking time to exchange ideas with colleagues from pension
funds across the nation.
What
a better way to start the new millennium then to attend this invaluable
event. Come help us celebrate the Fifth Anniversary Symposium
and be part of this continually growing, dynamic, and rewarding
event.
I
look forward to greeting you on March 12th in Phoenix.
Cordially,
Barbara
Lambroza
Senior Vice President
