Dear Friends,
Join us in Montréal for one of the
largest annual gatherings of the North American investment community.
Over seventy of North America’s most distinguished investment experts
have been assembled to discuss the current challenges facing professional
investors, covering both Canadian domestic and international topics
and issues. The event also features an extensive exhibition of many
of the leading international names in investment management, and
time for networking, including a fabulous cocktail reception at
one of the hottest spots in the city.
An important feature of Canada Cup
is that it is designed for both the retail advisor and institutional
investor. Some sessions appeal to delegates from both groups, such
as presentations on active vs. passive management, the logic and
flexibility of indexing, benchmarks, exchange traded funds and income
trusts. There also are unique sessions for the retail advisor and
the institutional investor designed and presented by their peers,
as well as investment professionals prominent in their field. These
educational and thought-provoking sessions are scheduled into two
concurrently running tracks on Day One of the program.
For the institutional investor there
are presentations and roundtable discussions on issues related to
actively and passively investing in the Canadian market, the Canadian
regulatory environment, domestic and international indexed portfolio
management, transition management, and enhanced indexing investment
strategies. Retail advisors will hear about how to open up to new
strategies that will build their businesses and satisfy their clients
at the same time. Included will be presentations and roundtable
discussions on exchange traded funds and other index-related products
that can be multi-purpose business tools used for portfolio management,
leveraging, marketing and efficiency. Both tracks contain sessions
that range in duration from 30 minutes for individual presenters
and up to 60 minutes for roundtable discussions. Questions from
the audience will be welcomed and encouraged.
We are sure you will be delighted
by the educational quality and originality of the Canada Cup program
and we look forward to seeing you in Montréal.
Cordially,
