Super Bowl of Indexing® Conference

Event Description |
 |
IMN’s Super Bowl of Indexing® is designed to provide four days of lively discussion, debate and countless networking opportunities for the indexing, ETF and investment management community. This year’s program will once again be developed in partnership with leading minds in the industry in order to arm investors with the knowledge necessary to succeed in today’s world of investment management.
The development of the industry has created an increasingly competitive market with new providers and new products constantly surfacing. With investors looking for ways to generate greater investment returns while managing risk, investment vehicles such as hedge funds are becoming more attractive than traditional long-only investments. Further, the popularity of the exchange-traded fund value proposition has caused the industry to boom. With 3,649 Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and Exchange Traded Products (ETPs), 7,610 listings with assets totaling 1,542.7 billion from 174 providers on 52 exchanges around the world, it is forecasted that global assets will hit the 2 trillion mark by early 2012. This rapid expansion and growing level of investor interest is driven by the transparency, liquidity, diversification, flexibility and cost effectiveness these products offer. [BlackRock, Global Handbook - Q1 2011]
The Super Bowl of Indexing® has a long and proud history in the indexing and investment management industries and is firmly established as the world’s premier event in the field. The event attracts industry leaders from virtually the entire marketplace to join the outstanding speaker faculty, covering pressing issues facing the investment community such as the importance of risk management; emerging market equity; the future of pension asset allocation; currency hedging policies; managing volatility and much more. Over the past 15 years, we’ve welcomed legendary figures from the world of investing including Nobel Laureates William F. Sharpe, Harry Markowitz and Paul Samuelson; Robert Shiller, Jack Bogle, Andrew Lo and Kenneth French; and not forgetting the inimitable roster of Keynotes that have delighted the delegation over the years ranging from Henry Kissinger to Bill Bradley to Harvey Pitt. IMN looks forward to continuing the tradition and adding to the story this December; and we hope you will join us once again.
