PHILADELPHIA - Stradley Ronon partner Michael Mundt will participate in
a panel discussion at the Super Bowl of Indexing Conference on Dec. 4 -
7 in Phoenix, Ariz. The panel, "Meeting Qualitative and Regulatory Requirements
and Goals," will discuss strategies for successfully launching new exchange-traded
funds (ETFs), as well as current regulatory issues for ETFs. The conference
focuses on hot topics in the indexing, exchange-traded funds and investment
management community.
Mundt assists clients with complex legal issues under federal securities
laws, with a particular focus on exchange-traded funds. He has worked on
a wide array of exemptive and interpretive issues under the Investment Company
Act of 1940, including exemptive orders to permit the operations of index-based
and actively managed ETFs. Mundt also has worked extensively on fund-of-funds
issues and on relief for various types of affiliated transactions. Prior
to his work at Stradley Ronon, Mundt was in charge of one of the exemptive
application offices in the Division of Investment Management at the SEC.
